I love thrift shopping so much that I sometimes pick up things for my friends that I just know they will love! Here is an excellent example. My friend Melinda was looking for a small chair for her dressing table and mentioned she liked a chair that I had in my stash that boasted a ‘musical’ design cut-out on the back. And wouldn’t you know it – there I was out ‘thrifting’ one early morning and came across this lovely little chair that had a harp design cut-out on the back. Perfect and only $6.00. Did I mention I love thrifting? Below is the chair in its original condition. Sorry about the super tiny photo! Not bad, but needed an update – what I like to call ‘adding some glamour’!
So, off it went to my friends house for her very own divine inspiration! See the finished chair below. Oh. My. Gosh. Could not have done a better job myself. Such cuteness and elegance all wrapped up in one adorable little chair. Fabric was found at Jo-Ann’s and the paint happens to be Valspar Interior in the color Deep Twilight Blue. I am in love with that harp design!
I know this blue is going on my next project – a lovely dresser. Stay tuned for that project update!
Thank you Melinda for sharing your upcycle project with me!
Now that is what I call Vintage Shabby Glamour!
